I would say this book is really quite similar to Rang and Dale's pharmacology. It makes pharmacology really understandable and has pretty much all the different sections that Rang and Dale's has. However it is a lot smaller than Rang and Dale's and so doesn't have as much information. So for in course use, I would recommend Rang and Dale's. However I find that this book works well for revision as there is not so much to read through. The book makes good use of tables to present information in a bite-size way. So for revision, you could copy out the tables from this book and revise from them. If you want to buy both books, you should. Otherwise, you only need either this book or Rang and Dale's and then check out the other one from the library.
