The language used is very easy to undersatnd. Content concentrates on breadth rather than depth therefore useful for revision. Although anatomy is covered, I felt that it lacked important details for example adequate cover of blood supply. Also only diagrammatical representations are used with no usage of pro-sections. Apart from that, the diagrams are very clear and concise, often explaining the concepts better than the texts. Also the little ‘pointer’ boxes attracted me to useful information.
I felt the clinical section is in too much detail for preclinical students but probably useful for clinical years. I particular liked the flow charts for diagnosis.
The different ways of testing knowledge in the self assessment section is very useful. However I would benefit from a larger supply of questions.
Overall the book is very useful for revision purposes with clear, easy to understand text and diagrams with a substantial clinical section. However not as useful for anatomy and detail.
