I wasn’t expecting to like this book! I’m very loyal to my Rang et al pharmacology book, which I’ve had since first year. However, I think this is fantastic. It really is an ‘integrated’ pharmacology book – I’m about to start my infectious diseases block, so focused on the section on antibiotics. I liked the way that while it goes into detail on the pharmacology, it also talks about the relevance to the clinical setting, giving a really good understanding of where these drugs will fit into patient treatment: I particularly liked the boxes which highlighted points to consider when selecting drugs for an individual patient. I’ll certainly be using this book a lot when revising for my finals. I’ve tried to access Student Consult, but couldn’t log on. I’m not sure if it’s my fault, but it means that I’m unable to comment on this.* (see below)

I asked the STUDENTCONSULT team to feedback on the comment above : *‘’Student Consult has unfortunately suffered from technical problems recently. We’ve resolved most of the issues and are working hard to clear the rest. I know how frustrating it is when you just want to access the site and can’t! Do try the site again, it will be worth your while!’’ Yvonne Ridge, Senior Product Manager, STUDENTCONSULT (Aug 07)
