I give this book a Buyer Rating of 5/5 (Go buy it… NOW). You don't quite get the grasp of how different children are to adults as patients until you get onto the wards. And one aspect which is highlighted the most is that of Clinical Examinations. Its all good and well knowing how to check for the heart sounds on an adult and being able to ask them to breath in and out slowly, hold their breath etc. But is that really possible in children?... in a baby? Even the smallest tips like feeling for a pre-auricular pulse in a sleeping baby come in really useful in The Exam Room and make you feel a whole lot more confident. I honestly believe that this book is a must have for every Medical Students as we will all have to work with children at some point. If not, then it is definately for those who have an interest in Paediatrics. Seriously a genuine treasure and seriously underrated. Hope that was uself. Enjoy, Latifa (",)
